From 24 – 26 October, the Mission participated in the 2nd Public Diplomacy Week that was organized by the Korea Foundation (KF), which is the public diplomacy arm of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Korea and dedicated to strengthening relations between Korea and other countries through cultural promotion. Approximately forty (40) other Embassies participated in this event geared to the cultural promotion of their country to the Korean public. The 2nd Public Diplomacy Week is the second time such an event has taken place and the first time the Mission has participated in a public diplomacy event organized by KF. During the event, the Mission operated booth using cultural artifacts, handicrafts and visual images wrapped on the booth to display the rich heritage and culture of Fiji. The Mission also ran a workshop on Fijian cultural costumes providing the Korean public with the opportunity to dress up in cultural attire and experience the culture in Fiji.
